Delivery to a subsequent test level (usually the system test) can be done in many ways. The simplest variant, the delivery
of installable software, has the big disadvantage that, particularly at the start of the subsequent test level, many
apparent obstructive defects are reported, which in the end are mainly owing to unfamiliarity with the operation and to
incorrect authorisation or parameter settings. The ideal form of delivery is a demonstration, in which the developer (often
the application integrator) demonstrates that the system will function in the (subsequent) test environment. This can be
done, for example, based on an agreed small set of functional test cases. |
